Staff and rooms are great. There is no on-site parking, public open air car park is a few hundred yards away (free 6pm to 9am). The menu for evening meals is extremely poor - no starters, 1/2 a dozen mains, 3 sweets and not all were available on the two evenings I stayed , everything seems to be microwave cooked. No bar area to speak of. Breakfasts on the other hand were good. As I was staying there on business I needed VAT receipts, but none of the staff knew how to print them. Overall not somewhere I would stay again on business due to the very poor restaurant . But should be OK in the summer months for holiday makers with a good few places to eat showing up on Google maps.
We had a short break in Bude, had great weather, and were very satisfied with the Premier inn stay. It is brand new and very affordable yet it feels comfortable. We asked for and got an upper floor room facing the canal. Lovely view, bright room, and a narrow single bed which served us as a window seat, and dressing area. Many places charge extra for a better view, not Premier Inn. Staff are so helpful, cannot do enough for you. The double bed is firm and very comfy. We requested 3 extra pillows, which we received by the evening. The pillows are thin and we needed 2 each, but DH used three. We ate delicious breakfast every morning £8.99, and paid for the parking at the public car park £6.50 from 9am for the day, unless we were driving out of Bude. Its free after 6pm. You can also do this on the JustPark app. We ate at the Deck and the Premier for dinner. I recommend the fish parcel at Premier which I had twice. It is freshly made, unlike the curry which does appear to be from the freezer. The Deck is an experience, not for people who don't like chilli, as you get it whether you want it or not. When comparing options, add £8.99 and £6.50 to the night's sleep, as many places in Bude offer both.

Traditional pub offering fantastic real ales and great food. Family friendly, great staff and if you have a dog you will be made most welcome. A great place to meet true 'Strattonian's' and while away the hours.
Wonderful meals and excellent ales in very friendly, cosy, clean country pub. Guest rooms are very comfy and clean and there is quick and easy access to Bath from pub. Lovely atmosphere. Top notch in every respect. Richard and Alison.

Visited Bude for a week and stopped at The Brendon Arms 3 times for drinks after a walk. Each time the staff were friendly and knowledgable on the drinks and engaged in conversation. Lovely outside area plenty of space to sit. Dogs welcome in the bar and garden although not in restaurant. Would suggest this to anyone wanting a good place for a drink after a walk or beach Visit.
Nice pub in a picturesque location. Popped in for a pint after work. Looks like it had been redecorated since last time I visited a few months back. Nice staff and a good pint.

Very friendly welcome from the hosts. Made us feel special and we're very helpful with the wine selection. Food was excellent, service great. We returned the second night and the hosts remembered us and which wine we had from the previous night. Food again was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Well done.
Called in for a drink here, excellent establishment, has everything, separate restaurant bars and excellent outside seating area. Fabulous staff and service. Highly recommend this pub best we have come across in the Bude area. We will be back and that is the first time we have felt this after many attempts.

An absolutely fabulous B&B, very warm and welcoming. We were given a pot of tea and biscuits on the porch on arrival. The room was large and nicely furnished, the bed was huge and very comfy. The breakfast was lovely; great local ingredients, pots of tea and everything you could want. Would very highly recommend.
Lovely people and very hospitable
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
